I dont understand the point of this let alone what its supposed to do..??

Updates automatically the info about the shows and the episode guide. Very useful.

I do not understand how this application works. It does things automatically, on its own, for no apparent reason. Sometimes this works out and you get the information you want, other times it never does anything and I wonder what am I supposed to do now? The interface design is poor. There are typos in multiple places and poorly written dialog boxes. There is a column header named N°. I wasnt sure if that was some sort of location information or what, but it turned out to mean episode number. If it automatically finds a show for you it will update it every 5 minutes or so and each time it will ask you if it can replace all the information you currently have. It then proceeds to ask for verification for each and every episode it has listed. (So, you basically do not want to keep it open for more than 5 minutes at a time.) It also beachballs a lot. Could be a decent app in the future, but right now its not ready for prime time.

Update after several months with the program: Ive have had to downgrade my star rating from 3 stars to 1 for several reasons. First and foremost, there are fields that allow you to enter text but no way to save the text. Once you close the window the text disappears. I found the same problem with the field for adding an image for the Series. I have dragged a jpg, png, and tiff into this field and none of them have been saved. This all makes the program essentially unusable unless you are willing to accept the stuff it downloads from the web, which ranges anywhere from accurate to completely wrong, and are willing to settle for some of the fields being essentially uneditable. Its unfortunate because the idea is pretty cool and I have not seen another program of this type dedicated to tracking TV shows Ive watched. I hope this one gets an upgrade to address all its myriad of problems. Version 0.6.5 did not address any of these issuse so Ive pretty much had enough frustration so I wont be using it until these issues are addressed. First impressions July 2011: I doubt I will use this App much. I just kind of downloaded it to see if it was really as bad as the comments here indicated. Addmittedly, it took me a while to get this to work, but after clicking around for 5 or 10 minutes or so I got everything working. There are some things - tooltips, menu names and other things - that are not translated to English or are misspelled. Also, the overall feel of the App seems a bit rough and un-intuitive. All that said, it does more or less do what it claims to do, give you a place to track TV shows you watch (and want to watch in the future). Heres an example of one of the quirks I found. Personal comments for each episode can be added to the field mysteriously called "Argument" which contains the episode synopsis, but a seperate field to write your comments on each episode would make more sense. Oh yeah make sure you immediately go into the Preferences and under the "Notice" tab and uncheck the "Check for info every....) box. Alternatively, you can set it for the longest time possible, but make sure you set all the stuff below it to No or Yes. If you leave it at the default "Ask", everytime the set interval comes up it will ask if you want to update every single episode not checked as watched with an individual screen for each episode and no way to escape!

Good idea, pretty bad implementation Freezes up constantly, and does not respond. Please update! This app could be a paid app, if it was updated and worked well

I was hoping this would be something like the "episodes" app on iphone were you just select your tv shows and it tels you when the next episode is airing… this program is total nonsense, you have to type in everything by yourself, episodes, names, and even air dates… its useless and i dont know why anyone would need it. sorry :P

Yes it takes a long time to load, yes it can be hard to figure out. But once you get past that, I think the app is really nice. I have over 40 shows that I keep track of in the app. So yes, it does take quite a bit of time when it loads up. Ive found that it doesnt recognize certain shows like "Kitchen Nightmares" for instance. But overall its the best free app in the Mac App Store. My main issues are that it has not been completly translated into English, which might frustrate you & it is slow at times. other than that I really enjoy this application.

1. it freezes 2. no selection with shift, for example i saw two seasons of some show and i want to delete it - i need to go and delete every episode, i cant use shift and selection of 2 or episodes :( 3. Why i cant use autofill for series info for ALL shows? i think that there is a lot of work on this app, but it has a great potential!

Theres no help file. How do you use this thing?

What kind of an upgrade is that? An upgrade is supposed to make it work, not possibly make it work, maybe not you might loose data and I am not responsible. ??? The proper release is what should have been released. Whos going to try this update and worry about "suffering data loss?"

I installed the latest update and now it just crashes every time I try and launch it :(

Someone put some effort into creating this cryptic mess, the existence of which primarily serves to show how little attention Apple pays to the quality of what they allow to be distributed in the app store.

It doesnt do anything. Like, at all. I enter text into the field for the TV series name, and nothing happens. I press keys and click buttons, and nothing happens. I open a dialog box to add a TV series, and the box does nothing because there is "no selection." This app is completely nonfunctional.

Nothing works on this app

This application is well intentioned, and has good potential… It just has so many problems right now. It isn’t intuitive, doesn’t really work, and just… So many things go wrong that shouldn’t.
